It is not realistic if I only blog about the happy times and all that bullcrap and now when I am sad, disappointed, angsty. Here you go, a very angsty post.

You take time out to come back on a Saturday (and you are a on the RT scheme you dont get paid for saturdays) to give extra remedial for those who ask for it and are not really that good in their content knowledge. But nobody cares, the students grumble about getting home early, the students get distracted, the point you the finger when you say something maybe a little too insensitive and they don't even thank you for the lesson.

You know I dont mind not doing all these for people who appreciates, until the finger and the disrespect, the teasing and the what not. Then I wonder whether the relationship between me and you students that have been built up over the month was just for show, for entertainment.

Call me sensitive, call me petty. But I am your teacher and the fact that I offer to give you extra help is not what EVERY other teacher does. But that said, you still take me for a fool, for granted. What is the world coming to?

What more during the test today some classes completely gave up after looking at the question. My heart sank lah, what have all that I ve taught gone to? And then when you get an open book you copy blindly without even applying the skills you've learnt. Hurt hurt, triple hurt.

A counsellor would tell me, I've done my part as a teacher to the best of my ability, the onus is on the student to take up his or her own responsibilty to learn. But then again, isnt it my responsibilty to make you learn? Being a teacher is definitely not an easy task. (You get insulted like nobody's business, more than you have ever gotten in your life, what's worst, by people you TEACH.)

(this is very angry i know, i will consider removing this when i release this blog to my students. meanwhile, let me rant)
